Intermedic owns a vast number of special vehicles that can be used for in case of mass casualties of or catastrophes in Switzerland and the adjoining countries, if necessary.

Possessing such vehicles is unique for a Swiss emergency service that is not based on government funds.  Those vehicles also enable an extraordinary medical care on any kind of events.

Stationed on events the special vehicles function as treatment centers, while a huge amount of ambulances is used for hospitalizations at the same time. Working this way, Intermedic guarantees a flawless course of the medical care on events and makes it possible to hospitalize and to provide on-site medical care at the same time.

A container with medical material is placed on a truck trailer. A high-performance generator provides permanent power supply for four inflatable triage-tents, telescopic light poles and the several treatment sites.

The amount of the carry-on boxes that are equipped with medical material, the amount of the stretchers, the rescue packs, the doctor kit and the number of blankets is based on the required amount for a possible case of mass casualties.
